What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments: The Custom Concrete website does not accept comments on blog articles or pages, and users may not log in.
Media: The Custom Concrete website does not allow for the uploading of images by the general public, but if you do share images with us through some other means, you should avoid sharing images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as this location data can be extracted by people with access to the images.
Contact forms: Our website contains a form that allows you to submit information for receiving estimates on work. The elements required for submitting the form are your full name, email address and project location (city). Other information is optional. We collect this information to aid us in responding to your question and providing an estimate for the work. Information submitted via the form is processed through Zendesk. You can find Zendesk’s privacy policy here.
Cookies and analytics: Google Analytics and Google Advertising features are installed on the Custom Concrete Contracting website, potentially to include Remarketing with Google Analytics; Google Display Network Impression Reporting; Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting; and Integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect data for advertising purposes, including the collection of data via advertising cookies and identifiers.
Information collected by Google may include end user location, search history, YouTube history, and data from sites that partner with Google—and is used to provide aggregated and anonymized insights into users’ cross device behaviors.
Included here is Google’s explanation of how its Analytics platform uses cookies:
“Google Analytics mainly uses first-party cookies to report on visitor (aka. user) interactions on Google Analytics customers’ websites. Users may disable cookies or delete any individual cookie.
In addition, Google Analytics supports an optional browser add-on that – once installed and enabled – disables measurement by Google Analytics for any site a user visits. Note that this add-on only disables Google Analytics measurement.
Where a site or app uses Google Analytics for Apps or the Google Analytics for Firebase SDKs, Google Analytics collects an app-instance identifier — a randomly generated number that identifies a unique installation of an App. Whenever a user resets their Advertising Identifier (Advertising ID on Android, and ID for Advertisers on iOS), the app-instance identifier is also reset.
Where sites or apps have implemented Google Analytics with other Google Advertising products, like Google Ads, additional advertising identifiers may be collected. Users can opt-out of this feature and manage their settings for this cookie using the Ads Settings.
Google Analytics also collects Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to provide and protect the security of the service, and to give website owners a sense of which country, state, or city in the world their users come from (also known as “IP geolocation”). Google Analytics provides a method to mask IPs that are collected (detailed below) but note that website owners have access to their users’ IP addresses even if the website owners do not use Google Analytics.”

You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the tools Google has made available here. In addition, you may view Google’s My Activity page to view and delete information Google has stored about you.
Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You may choose to remove and/or reject cookies, using your browser settings to do so. This may affect how the Custom Concrete website functions for you.
Embedded content from other websites: Rarely, articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Links to other websites: This website may contain links to external websites. If you visit those other sites, your use of those sites is subject to the privacy policies of those sites. You are encouraged to read the privacy policies of all sites you visit.

Any email address you submit via our form is sent to MailChimp and stored there for the purpose of our sending you our newsletter. MailChimp has shared some information online about how their policies protect your data. You can find that information in Section 3, Privacy for Contacts, of MailChimp’s policy.
