Right here in Bellingham, Washington, Custom Concrete Contracting is not just laying concrete; we’re also laying the foundation for a more sustainable future.
Recently, we passed a significant milestone in our sustainability journey: the planting of over 10,000 trees through our partnership with One Tree Planted.
As the founder of CCC, Dave Johnson strives to deliver top-notch concrete work while also ensuring that the company is accountable for its ecological footprint. “Our commitment to sustainability is more than just a business strategy; it’s the right thing to do,” said Johnson. “CCC’s team believes in building a future where construction and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.”
One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization that partners with businesses like ours to support global reforestation efforts. Through our collaboration with them, Custom Concrete has planted one tree for every yard of concrete poured since January 2021. This initiative goes beyond our local community, with trees being planted not only in the Pacific Northwest but also in regions worldwide facing deforestation challenges.
“By planting trees, we’re actively participating in global reforestation efforts,” said Johnson. Reaching the 10,000 trees milestone is not just a number—it’s a testament to CCC’s ongoing commitment and to the impact a single company can have on the environment. Each tree represents a step towards a greener, more sustainable future.
As Custom Concrete Contracting continues to be a trusted contractor for residential, commercial, and government projects, we invite others in the industry to join us on this journey because, in a world where environmental consciousness is becoming increasingly vital, we believe that even in the concrete jungle, green initiatives can take root and flourish.
