One of our missions at Custom Concrete Contracting is to make the community better by the work we do. It’s why we work so hard to provide top-quality, long-lasting concrete installations — they give the clients what they want while also beautifying the surrounding neighborhood.

Consider, for example, the commercial work we did on the Eleanor Apartments, now open at the intersection of N. Forest and Champion streets in Bellingham. The project took an empty lot — the former site of Wilson Motors, which had moved across town — and transformed it into an 80-apartment senior housing community from Mercy Housing Northwest.

The building, which is now open, adds a touch of class and community to the transition from the Bellingham’s historic York Neighborhood to the thriving downtown area. Plus, it provides affordable housing for seniors, and that’s work we’re proud of at CCC. For that project, on which we worked as a subcontractor for Dawson Construction, Custom Concrete installed the concrete foundation, slab and detention vault, in addition to a bit of sidewalk. We helped ensure the whole building was set on a solid base.

Our commercial flatwork expertise also is on display at the new Bellingham Marriott on Northwest Avenue. For the Marriott project, which is part of Bellingham’s exciting hotel boom of late, Custom Concrete installed concrete curbing for the parking lot. It wasn’t a huge project, but it’s nonetheless a great example of the high quality of our concrete flatwork and the level of careful attention we pay to every single job, large or small.

Another recent job is the Maple Street Apartments complex, on which we again worked as a subcontractor for Dawson to install sidewalks, walls, curbs and gutters.

When construction companies hire Custom Concrete as a concrete subcontractor, what they get is a talented, dedicated and experienced crew that makes life easy for general contractors and project managers.
